we inform you that the deadline for application for the XXI International Workshop on High Energy Physics and Quantum Field Theory (QFTHEP'2013) has been extended till April 30, 2013.

This year the Workshop is organized jointly by the SINP MSU and the SPbSU and it will take place in the holiday hotel "Baltiets" situated in a picturesque place of the Karelian Isthmus on the shore of the Gulf of Finland in the suburb of the second largest Russian city Saint Petersburg.

Scientific program

The main topics to be covered are:

  • Higgs searches and other experimental results from the LHC and the Tevatron; impact of the Higgs-like boson observed
  • Physics prospects at Linear Colliders and super B-factories
  • Extensions of the Standard Model and their phenomenological consequences at the LHC and Linear Colliders
  • Higher order corrections and resummations for collider phenomenology
  • Automatic calculations and Monte Carlo simulations in high energy physics
  • LHC/LC and astroparticle/cosmology connections
  • Modern nuclear physics and relativistic nucleous-nucleous collisions
  • Detectors for future experiments in high energy physics

 

The Workshop will include plenary and two parallel afternoon sessions. The plenary sessions will consist of invited lectures. The afternoon sessions will include original talks.

The working language at the Workshop will be English.


Contributions and Proceedings

Talks will be selected by the Organizing Committee on the basis of abstracts to be submitted before April 15th, 2013.

The Workshop Proceedings will be published in the Proceedings of Science (PoS), a special circular with the instructions for authors will be sent out later.

Participation of students in the Workshop is strongly encouraged. The Organizing Committee will be able to provide a financial support for selected young participants (33 years old or younger) from CIS (the Former Soviet Union States). Those participants who need support should send their applications to the Organizing Committee.

The participants will be put up at the hotel "Baltiets" and at a nearby holiday hotel “Storm Petrel” buildings 2 and 3. Internet access is available.

All prices include full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Payment should be made at the hotel reception in cash in Russian roubles. No credit cards are accepted.

Room reservations should be done via the Organizing Committee. The participants are kindly asked to send their hotel reservation requests strictly before June 1, because the hotel is usually fully booked during the White Nights period.

Travel information

The arrival day is June 23, the departure day is June 30 (after breakfast).


Social program

The Organizing Committee is planning to arrange at extra charge a night tour of Saint Petersburg “White Nights” and visits to the State Hermitage Museum, to Kronshtadt and to the House-Museum of the famous Russian painter I. Repin “Penaty” (“The Penates”) in the countryside. A special social program for the accompanying persons can also be organized.
